About the BHP/Town of Miami Facade Program
BHP and The Town of Miami value the participation of active commercial business owners to improve the facade (front) of their buildings. The “BHP/Town of Miami Facade Program” is designed to improve the facade of commercial buildings and to add beauty to the town. This is painting, replacing wood framing, replacing windows, and doors project for active businesses within the designated commercial area.

Qualifications
- Any active small business/small manufacturing building owner within the Commercial District of Miami.
- Complete and submit a “Request for Consortium Participation” form.
- Attend a pre-bid meeting.
- 25% of the project cost is the responsibility of the owner. Due before the project begins.
- NOTE: Each Consortium member’s liability is for their building only.

Process
- A pre-bid meeting will take place for all interested owners and bidders to discuss architect renderings, color schemes, the Consortium, due dates, payments, bidding process and all other questions for this program.
- A completed, submitted “Request for Consortium Participation” form and agree to be part of a “Consortium” contract.
- All selected participant’s projects will collectively go to bid with contracting bidders providing an individual lump sum cost associated with each consortium owner’s building. This will determine the 25% owner responsibility.
- One contractor will be selected for the entire project.
- The owner’s responsibility of 25% is due at the beginning of the project
- Bids will also be categorized in accordance with the boxes checked on the “Facade Improvements Requested” section of the “Request for Consortium Participation” form.

Apply for the “Request for Consortium Participation” BHP/Town of Miami Facade Program
- Please have your work outlined in detail with measurements
- You must be the owner of the property to apply
- Must be an active business and provide a business license number (Renter/Leaser ok)
- Must provide a narrative and attach photos
- “Request for Consortium Participation” (Application) opens on-line at 8:00am on Monday, July 29, 2024
